Hypertension (HTN) or high blood pressure, sometimes called arterial hypertension, is a chronic medical condition in which the blood pressure in the arteries is elevated. This requires the heart to work harder than normal to circulate blood through the blood vessels. Blood pressure is summarised by two measurements, systolic and diastolic, which depend on whether the heart muscle is contracting (systole) or relaxed between beats (diastole).
At Foodary, I show you which foods and healthy eating patterns can help lower blood pressure. Also, I show foods that can help with some complications of hypertension. Including:
- Strokes, confusion, headaches, convulsions.
- Retina of the Eye
- Hypertensive retinopathy.
- Heart attack and heart failure.
- Chronic kidney failure.
- Elevated sugar levels.
Are you struggling to find your best food choices for high blood pressure? Then ask how better eating patterns can help lower your blood pressure.
